Roland’s love of barbeque began at his parents’ restaurant and friendship with some of the all-time legends of barbeque in Dallas and East Texas.
After the family closed the Lindsey Café, Roland continued cooking barbeque. During this time customers would comment on Roland’s barbeque as being "bodaciously good" and Little Roland’s Pit Bar-B-Q began using "Bodacious Bar-B-Q" in its name.
